The year got off to a good start with my participation in the ABN AMRO Open, from 15 to 19 February in Ahoy Rotterdam. This was the first year that a women’s wheelchair tennis tournament also took place during this major event.

In the first round I played against compatriot Jiske Griffioen, unfortunately I lost this match 6-0 6-0. Nevertheless, it was a very nice experience to play there with an audience next to the court. During the rest of the week I had a great time giving wheelchair tennis clinics and of course I was able to watch a lot of matches.
